Lock out services
If you have locked yourself out of your car, call our dispatch number at 847-844-1400. Let us know your location and what type of vehicle you’re driving. We have special equipment that allows us to safely access your car so we can return your keys to you and get you back on the road in no time.
If you are locked out of your vehicle and the engine is still running – or the keys are in the ignition – please let us know this too. Your battery may need to be jumped if your car is left in this state overnight or for a long period of time. For cars with push button ignition, this is more common than you’d think!
Emergency situations
If you are locked out and are stranded in a dangerous location or have an emergency, please let us know when you call so we can prioritize your case. The following situations are considered emergencies, among others:
- You have a baby or pet in the car that you are locked out of.
- You are in an unfamiliar area or have locked yourself out in a remote location away from people.
- You need to drive someone to help who is having a medical emergency.
If you have been locked out of your car with a baby inside – and it’s warm out – you must dial 911 right away. Even a few minutes in a locked car when it is warm outside can be harmful to young children, infants and pets.
